Many countries in the world raise sheep. Many raise them for commercial purposes, to make a living out of them. Sheep supply meat for consumption, give milk for making cheese and yogurt, and provide wool for making warm clothes for winter.

Sheep are a symbol of obedience, meekness and humility because they rarely attack each other or other animals. The Bible is replete with mentions and examples of the sheep. Jesus Christ himself, in a number of times, gave his teachings based on the sheep.

In our life if we become like a sheep we can do a lot for building friendship, peace and harmony in our society and in the world. Our sheep-like obedience, meekness and humility can act as a catalyst for bringing about change of hearts. This type of change can be more lasting and fruitful. We have a lot to learn from the ordinary animal, the sheep.
